Privacy statement

What we store, why, for how long, and who else gets to see it. In plain language, because a privacy statement nobody reads protects nobody.

Who is responsible

ProofDigest is published by Point2Create BV, Energieweg 1, 3133 EB Vlaardingen, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce number 63324547. For anything in this statement you can write to office@proofdigest.com.

Reading the archive requires nothing

You can read every free page without an account and without entering anything. We do not ask who you are and we do not need to know.

What we store, and why

Account	Your name, your email address and your password in encrypted form. Needed to give you access to what you paid for. Kept until you delete the account.
Session	A cookie named `sid` that tells our server you are the same person on the next page. Strictly necessary; it disappears when you sign out.
Saved studies	Which studies you saved, if you save any. See the warning below.
Messages you send	What you write to us through the contact form or support, so we can answer it.
Payments	That a subscription exists, what it cost and when it runs out. The payment itself goes through Stripe; we never see your card details.
Visits	Per page request: the IP address, which page, the country and the time. Used to see whether the site is working and to recognise abuse.

About saved studies. Which studies you save says something about what you are worried about, and that is health-related. We treat it that way: it is never shared, never sold, never used for advertising, and nobody outside the small team that maintains this platform looks at it. If that still feels like one thing too many, use the archive without an account — everything free stays free without one.

Who else sees something

Stripe handles payments and therefore sees your payment details. We do not; we only get back whether it succeeded.
Amazon Web Services sends our email and hosts our servers. The servers stand in Frankfurt, inside the European Union.
ipwho.is receives the IP address of a visit so we can tell roughly which city and network it came from. That is used to recognise abuse, not to recognise you.
Cloudflare sits in front of the site as a shield and therefore sees the traffic passing through.

Nobody else. We do not sell data, we do not trade it, and we do not hand it to advertisers — we have no advertisers.

Statistics and cookies

The only cookie the site needs is the session cookie described above. Google Analytics is built into the software, but it loads only when a measurement ID has been entered and only after you have agreed to it in a banner.

As of 16 September 2026, no measurement ID is set. That means no analytics is running, no banner appears, and no statistics cookie is placed. If that changes, this statement changes with it.

How long we keep things

Your account and what belongs to it: until you delete it.
Messages you sent us: as long as the question is open, and after that only if we need it to answer a later one.
Payment records: seven years, because Dutch tax law requires it.
Visit logs and security events: cleaned up periodically; they are there to spot trouble, not to build a history.

What you can ask us to do

Under the General Data Protection Regulation you may ask us to show you what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to hand it to you in a portable form, or to stop using it. Write to office@proofdigest.com and we answer within a month. You can also delete your account yourself from your account page.

If you think we handled this badly, you may complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or to the supervisor in your own country.

Children

This archive is written for adults and we do not knowingly keep data about children under sixteen.
